If there’s one character that has viewers fuming, it’s definitely Di Costello.

And good news for fans: the latest spoiler confirms she’s about to pay the price, and it’s… pretty steep.

Di has long been known for twisting situations to her liking.

From dropping insinuations, inciting others, to making up stories that cause her opponents to be ostracized by the community — she’s never short of tricks.

But this week’s Waterfield will see Di cornered.

In the upcoming episode, Di plans to pull off a new dirty trick: tarnishing the reputation of a female character in the community (presumably Carla or Alya). She has a little secret and plans to turn it into a scandal. However, spoilers reveal that Di’s plan backfires at the last minute.

In a particularly gripping moment, the targeted character decides not to keep quiet — they bring evidence, head straight to the Rovers Return, and confront her publicly. A word, a photo, or a recording will make everyone look at Di differently.

What’s most worth watching is Di’s reaction. Initially, she remains calm and in denial, but as things pile up, her mask of confidence begins to crack. Many characters who have been threatened or hurt by Di will also stand up, creating a real “public trial”.

And what the spoiler emphasizes: Di Costello will not be able to escape. Some will leave her, some will turn their backs, and she may even lose her job or be forced out of an important project. This will be Di’s “fall” — but also the place where a new storyline opens, as she begins to break down and possibly turn into a more dangerous villain.

Not only satisfying for the audience, Di’s fall is also a warning: Weatherfield can close its eyes for a while, but not forever.
