It begins with a credit card scandal: Carl reveals Eva’s card was found in a hotel room.

That single detail is enough to send chills down everyone’s spine, as credit cards in hotels often raise two suspicions: money and betrayal.

Maggie, needless to say, her eyes light up at the prospect of an opportunity, immediately wanting to use this to stir up trouble between Eva and Ben.

But Ben doesn’t follow that script; he declares the cardholder is Will Driscoll. Suddenly, the story shifts: Eva is no longer the suspected adulterer, but becomes the victim of someone else’s shady scheme. However, Corrie never leaves you alone. While Susie innocently talks about wanting a baby, and Ben even seems to agree, Eva is visibly upset, practically freezing over.

You know that feeling: someone says something so happy, but you hear it like an alarm bell. Eva reacted like someone holding a secret, and if that secret involved having children… it was incredibly heavy. And indeed, Adam later found Eva crying.
