Christmas in Weatherfield is supposed to be a time to turn off drama and switch to warmth, but Eva Price is living in a literal pressure cooker.

It all started with Susie’s innocent remark about wanting a baby—just a childish dream—yet Eva reacted as if she’d been electrocuted.

She froze, her eyes reddened, her hands trembled slightly, and she tried to change the subject, while Ben just laughed it off, thinking his wife was just stressed out during the holidays.

The problem is, Eva isn’t stressed out for no reason.

She’s hiding a huge secret, one that could shatter her marriage to Ben if revealed. The more Eva tries to act calm and composed, the more her unease becomes apparent, the more she’s afraid of being discovered. And just as the Christmas atmosphere began to heat up, Eva inadvertently left a trace: an important letter she had written, as if to save herself, as if to breathe, suddenly disappeared. Eva searched her pockets, her clothes, everywhere, but couldn’t find it, her face turning pale as if she had lost her soul. She panicked even more at the thought that someone had already read the letter.

Adam wasn’t the kind of character who just appears for fun; he was close enough for Eva to trust him, rational enough for Eva to dare to speak to him, and he had the vibe of the only one who could understand the story behind the letter. Eva cried, Adam tried to comfort her, they stood closer than safe distances apart, and then, at the very moment Adam instinctively took Eva’s hand, Ben walked in.
