Coronation Street Spoiler: Lisa devastated to discover Becky is alive, daughter Betsy in the midst of family tragedy

One of the biggest shocks next week on Coronation Street is the shocking return of Becky Swain (Amy Cudden).

The woman thought dead has returned, turning Lisa Swain’s (Vicky Myers) life upside down.

Lisa, who has grown accustomed to widowhood and is struggling to raise her daughter Betsy (Sydney Martin), is suddenly thrown into a whirlwind of emotions.

The joy of reunion is mixed with anger at being lied to.

She storms straight into DI Costello’s (Daon Bruni) office, demanding answers: why did Becky fake her death? Costello coldly refuses, but Lisa’s patience is running out. She even threatens to expose the whole thing to the press if there is no explanation.

Meanwhile, Carla Connor (Alison King) adds to the pressure. She thought that the truth would be revealed anyway, so it was better for Lisa to let Betsy meet her mother. But Lisa firmly refused, afraid that her daughter would be hurt again. Becky, with her strong maternal love, knelt down and begged to see Betsy, but Lisa only coldly shook her head in response. In the end, Becky had to back down, leaving behind a scene that made the audience cry.

Despite her dissuasion, Becky still silently followed her daughter. In a corner of the neighborhood, she choked up as she watched Betsy laughing and talking with Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott). At that moment, the desire to rush to hug her daughter arose strongly, but Becky held back, tears rolling down her face. The haunting question was: could she continue to endure the pain of being an “invisible person” in her child’s life?

Lisa’s situation was not easy. On the one hand, she wanted to protect Betsy from harm, but on the other hand, her love for Becky had never disappeared. The more she tries to bury the wound, the deeper it digs. Viewers can clearly feel the conflict in Lisa’s eyes: between anger, love and helplessness.

The family reunion seemed to bring happiness, but in reality it was a nightmare for all three. Betsy was still innocent, not knowing that her mother was still alive. When the truth broke, what would happen to her? This will surely be one of the most heartbreaking climaxes of Coronation Street, etched in the minds of the audience.
