Coronation Street Spoiler: Lisa stunned when wife “resurrects” after 4 years missing

When the new episode aired early on ITVX, Coronation Street shocked the public with an unexpected twist.

Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers), a woman who has lived in the pain of losing her wife for nearly four years, suddenly faced an unbelievable truth: Becky Swain (Amy Cudden) – who was thought to have died in a robbery – was still alive, and standing right in her living room.

That moment made Lisa feel like she was falling into an abyss.

Every moment of remembrance, every tear, every hug with her daughter Betsy next to the memorial photo now became meaningless.

Lisa initially couldn’t believe her eyes, even thought she was hallucinating. But Becky was there in the flesh, hugging her tightly, affirming that she had never died.

The joy of reunion was fleeting, then immediately swallowed by rage. Lisa screamed indignantly: “You let me and my mother live in pain for four years just because of a lie?” Becky choked up and confessed: it was all because she was forced to join the witness protection program after a failed undercover operation. To cover it up, the authorities staged a drama, turning her fake death into reality to send Becky to Spain to live under a new identity.

Becky begged for forgiveness, claiming that every decision was only to protect Lisa and Betsy from dangerous gangs. But Lisa saw it as a cruel betrayal. For her, love could not be an excuse to abandon her family. In a choked sob, Lisa shouted: “You killed me in my heart.” The sentence was like a knife cutting straight into both of their hearts, opening the door to a series of tragedies that had no end.
