While the show is full of drama, Lucy in real life suddenly posted a photo showing off her sparkling engagement ring, with a sweet caption: “Ending the birthday weekend with my best friend as a fiancé! I can’t wait to marry you, Ryan Ledson.”

In just a few hours, social media exploded with Corrie fans pouring in to congratulate, while the cast members threw an online party.

What made the story more interesting was not only the shiny diamond ring, but also the way colleagues from Coronation Street “en masse” rushed in to comment.

So happy for you both.” Without anyone telling anyone, the cast turned Lucy’s Instagram into a mini party – the real-life Corrie vibe: chaotic but full of love.

In contrast to the purple and pink atmosphere online, fans immediately asked: “So what about Bethany in the show?” While the character on the show is facing dark aspects, Lucy in real life is entering a new warm chapter. This makes many viewers wonder: will the Corrie writers “borrow the vibe” in real life to change Bethany’s storyline – or at least give her a little happiness after a series of events?
