The drama doesn’t stop at Shona and David.

Sarah – who once helped Shona get to the hospital – now becomes the new focus when she accidentally reveals bad news to Kit.

In a drunken stupor, Kit reveals to her that David is hiding a big financial problem, related to old debt from the attack last year.

The two argue, then realize that the secrets are intertwined, making everything more chaotic.

Sarah feels guilty for meddling in her brother’s personal affairs, and pained when seeing Shona fall. She goes to Gail – David’s mother – to beg her to intervene to unite the family. But Gail, after listening, just sighs: “There are things we can’t save, Sarah. We can only watch them find their own way.”

Meanwhile, Kit becomes more dangerous. He meets David, threatening to reveal the debt if David doesn’t answer truthfully about Shona’s condition. The atmosphere becomes more suffocating, each character is pulled into a vortex – where words, silence and love can all kill someone.
