After days of silence, Theo finally confesses the real reason he betrayed Todd.

In a touching scene, he says that his ex-lover threatened to reveal secrets related to a financial fraud – and that the ex used this to force him to come back.

The feeling of fear, guilt and pressure causes Theo to fall.

“I never wanted to hurt Todd, but you were pushed to the edge,” he says through tears.

However, Todd does not forgive easily. He just stays silent, looking at Theo with cold eyes: “You chose to stay silent, and you let me die in blind faith.”

The scene is considered one of the most emotional climaxes of Coronation Street this year – not only because of the suffering but also because of the humanity, when the script shows that love is not always salvation, but sometimes it is the place where people most easily lose themselves.
