The love drama in Coronation Street reaches its peak when Todd Grimshaw suspects his lover, Theo Silverton, of cheating.

The story begins when Todd accidentally sees Theo with Billy Mayhew on a shady evening at the Bistro.

From a distance, their eyes and gestures are enough to make Todd angry and believe he is being betrayed.

Todd is under great pressure because of the results of his medical examination – he fears he has bowel cancer and hides this from his friends.

Meanwhile, Theo behaves strangely, often goes away for no apparent reason. When Todd questions, Theo reacts harshly, accusing Todd of being the one who is keeping secrets. The conflict escalates, Todd kicks him out of the house and cuts off contact.

George Shuttleworth, Todd’s best friend, discovers the medical examination email and begins to worry that Todd is having a breakdown. In his exhaustion, Todd is unsure of the truth: is Theo really cheating, or is he just seeing things through the lens of fear and illness?

Theo tries to explain that the meeting with Billy is only about work, but Todd no longer has enough faith to listen. The already fragile love story now seems to explode because of misunderstanding, illness and broken trust.

The audience predicts that this is just the beginning of a series of tragedies. Todd may realize his mistake when he learns the truth, but by then it is too late.
