If you thought Theo was just a “hate-able” character, this week will make you reconsider your entire assessment.

Corrie officially pushes Theo into an extremely dangerous villainous orbit, when he begins to carry out a series of psychological manipulations aimed directly at a young character – who is too naive to realize the traps that are spread all around him.

At the beginning of the episode, Theo approaches this character with an unbelievably kind, gentle and “understanding” appearance.

He listens to every word, every fear, then cleverly sows in there pieces of doubt: “Are you sure they are sincere with you?”, “I’m just afraid you’re being taken advantage of…”.

His words are soft, but his intentions are as sharp as a razor blade.

What shocked the audience was: Theo did not do this spontaneously – he had a clear plan. He deliberately made this character believe that everyone around him turned their backs on him, pushing him into a state of isolation, making him easier to control. Some scenes showed Theo intentionally creating a misunderstanding situation, making the victim feel that he was the only one left with “sympathy”.

According to spoilers from ITV, Theo’s behavior will escalate in the upcoming episodes: he will give a “psychological ultimatum”, forcing the young character to choose between his loved ones and him. Fans call this a “poisonous trick”, because it will push the story into an extremely dangerous area, especially for characters who have been psychologically traumatized before.

What’s more frightening is that many comments suggest that Theo may be indirectly or directly involved in the ongoing murder. The timeline, attitude, and the rapid change in his actions make people suspicious: does he know who the killer is? Or even… is he the killer?
