A behind-the-scenes source revealed: “The writers wanted to portray a toxic relationship where love becomes power.

Todd will have to choose between staying in fear or breaking free to find himself.”

The drama culminates when Theo discovers Todd texting his old friend Billy, and in a fit of jealousy, he pushes Todd, causing him to hit his head on a table.

Luckily, Todd didn’t die, but this blow caused a stir online: “Corrie just switched to dark mode!” The episode’s ending scene shows Todd looking at himself in the mirror, his wounds still visible, and whispering, “Enough, I have to go,” hinting at an upcoming tearful farewell.
