Coronation Street Spoiler: Todd installs secret camera to trap Theo, Coronation Street releases “hidden camera” episode and hides special gratitude
After hitting rock bottom, Todd didn’t choose to run away in the night or simply pack up and leave.
He chose a much more dangerous path: gathering evidence himself to expose Theo, uncovering what happened behind closed doors.
And that was also the premise for one of the most “format-breaking” episodes Coronation Street has ever made – an episode told almost entirely through the perspective of hidden cameras and CCTV.
The starting point of the plan was a seemingly normal series of events: Todd took the opportunity to go out to buy things, stopped by the pub to meet Billy and Summer.

That brief but affectionate meeting ended with a light hug between Todd and Billy. Unfortunately for them, Theo saw it. With a personality that was already suspicious, controlling and jealous, the image of Todd hugging his “ex” was like throwing a match straight into a tank of petrol waiting to ignite.

Instead of panicking, Todd returned home in a state of fear and… determination. He knew Theo would be angry, knew he would be questioned, possibly violent again, but this time he did not want to go into battle empty-handed. Before that, Todd had secretly prepared: a hidden recording device in the apartment, placed in a position that could capture the confrontation between him and Theo. At the same time, the CCTV system around the apartment and the police body cam – if they were called – would also become an important piece of the overall picture.
