The atmosphere on Coronation Street this week is really heavy.

Todd Grimshaw – who always appears strong and humorous – is struggling to hide a secret that makes everyone shiver.

In the upcoming episodes, Todd begins to suspect that he has bowel cancer after a series of signs of fatigue, dizziness, and severe abdominal pain.

The heartbreaking thing is that he dares not tell anyone, not even his boyfriend Theo, but chooses to… plan his own funeral.

The scene of Todd sitting alone in his apartment, opening his laptop and typing each line about “who will speak at the memorial service” makes viewers both pity and fear. No longer the mischievous guy who used to joke around at Rovers, Todd is now like a spirit making a list to say goodbye to himself. The only person who has a premonition that something is wrong is George Shuttleworth – his friend who works at the funeral home. George accidentally saw Todd’s appointment in the mail, so he rushed to the hospital, hoping to stop him from doing something stupid.

But George’s appearance made everything fall apart. Theo – who had a tendency to be controlling and suspicious – suddenly became jealous, thinking that Todd was hiding an “affair” from him. He started following Todd, checking his messages, and even calling the doctor to ask. From worry to possessiveness, from love to suspicion, Theo’s behavior became more and more unpredictable.

Meanwhile, Todd was torn between two fears: one was that the disease could kill him, and the other was that his lover could kill his last faith. The night before the fateful examination, he dreamed that he was standing at a funeral, watching everyone cry… but no one saw him. A chilling “chill” that signaled tragedy was approaching.
