Coronation Street Spoiler: Tyrone wakes up after accident but is shocked to find he can’t feel his legs
Next week’s Coronation Street opens with a shocking climax: Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) wakes up after a serious car accident, but instead of being comforted, he falls into despair.
In the hospital, Tyrone gradually regains consciousness, his eyes wide open to the joy and confusion of Fiz Stape (Jennie McAlpine).
However, just a few seconds later, the warm atmosphere is immediately shattered when he screams in panic, begging the doctor for help: “I can’t feel my legs anymore!”.
Fiz is stunned, her face pale as she runs to find a nurse.
This scene makes viewers shudder: has the accident robbed Tyrone of the ability to walk forever? From a man full of energy, he is at risk of becoming a cripple. This is certainly a tragic turning point, threatening the cohesion of the entire Dobbs family.
Meanwhile, the truth about the accident is still unclear. Brody Michaelis (Ryan Mulvey) tries to convince Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) that he is completely innocent, because he was having a seizure at the time of the accident. Dylan Wilson (Liam McCheyne) also told the police that he was in the hospital, trying to prove that he had nothing to do with the incident. But the audience knows clearly: they and Carl Webster (Jonathan Howard) had disposed of the car earlier. When Carl returned to look for it, the car was gone, raising suspicions that another hand was involved, making things even more complicated.
At the same time, Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford) continues to take advantage of the situation. She constantly demands that Carl pay the remaining hush money to keep their affair secret, otherwise she will make everything public to Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell). Carl is like a beast forced into a corner: he has to both hide the accident and bear the pressure from Tracy. Will he still be sane enough to control everything?
Tyrone’s awakening could be the key to unlocking a whole series of buried truths. Once he tells what he remembers, the whole thing risks coming out. The question is: will Tyrone survive the next surgery, or face the rest of his life in a wheelchair? It will be a pain not only for him, but also a deep cut into the hearts of Fiz and his family.
