Salem is known for its improbable alliances, but this time, it transcends all boundaries as Belle Black, daughter of Marlena and John, teams up with Melinda Trask – who once vowed to bring down the DiMera family at all costs.

The reason? Kristen DiMera.

Belle realizes that if Kristen is convicted in the Peter Blake case, all the evidence is flawed.

While EJ and Tony are busy dealing with internal family matters, Belle secretly meets Melinda in the late-night courthouse office.

The two women, who dislike each other, sit opposite each other in the dim light of a desk lamp, Belle’s hand resting on a thick stack of files: “If you’ll help, I’ll give you what you want most in return – the truth about Peter.”

Melinda is silent, then chuckles softly: “You’re playing a dangerous game, Belle.” But her eyes say the opposite – curiosity, ambition, and excitement.

If this deal goes through, Kristen might get away with it – but Salem will face another storm, where justice and crime intertwine to the point of no distinction.

The scene ends with the sound of a door closing, the two women walking in opposite directions – but the audience knows for sure: they have just started a new power game, and this time, Salem will not be the same as before.
