Salem is in turmoil again when Brady Black officially suspects that Sophia Choi – a seemingly innocent and kind girl – is hiding a huge conspiracy.

At first, no one believes Brady.

Sophia is loved by everyone in town for her gentleness, innocent smile, and concern for everyone around her.

But Brady – with his instincts after years of betrayal – feels that something “doesn’t fit”.

It all started when Johnny DiMera and Chanel Dupree-DiMera accidentally discovered a series of strange text messages sent from an anonymous number – the messages that had once caused Holly Jonas to misunderstand and threw her relationship with Tate into chaos. The suspicious coincidence is that Sophia was present at all the meetings where those troubles started. Johnny told Brady the story, and immediately, that calm man turned into “a volcano about to erupt”.

Brady takes action. He’s quiet, but calculated. In a scene that’s expected to be “iconic of the season,” Brady silently follows Sophia as she leaves the hospital in the middle of the night and gets into a parked black car. He sees her take an envelope from a stranger, then quickly hide it in her pocket. The scene is handled delicately by the director – only a few seconds but enough to make the audience shudder.

Then, Brady decides to confront her. He goes to Sarah Horton – who works at Salem Hospital – and asks for medical information about Sophia. Sarah tries to keep calm, saying that she’s bound by HIPAA laws and can’t reveal anything more. But with just one look, Brady understands that Sarah knows more than she’s letting on. “Are you covering for her, Sarah?” – Brady says, his voice choked with anger. Sarah lowers her head, avoiding his eyes.

What makes the story more exciting is the rumor: the baby Sophia is carrying is not Tate’s, but Aaron Greene’s, a man who disappeared from Salem three years ago. If this rumor is true, Sophia’s entire plan – from pretending to love, to “trapping” Brady to gain pity – will go up in smoke.
