The story opens when Chad discovers that Cat often receives mysterious calls in the middle of the night.

When he asks, she gives the excuse that it’s “just work”. But the audience knows better: behind the door, Cat is discussing with Rafe about “Project D”.

A plan that is said to be able to overthrow the DiMera family’s influence in Salem.

The most tense scene is when Chad catches Cat at the bar with Rafe. He walks up and asks: “What are you hiding from me?” Cat calmly takes a sip of wine, then coldly replies: “Not everything needs me to interfere.” The answer sent shivers down the spines of viewers – not just because of the coldness, but because of the defiant gleam in Cat’s eyes.
