Underground in Salem, the DiMera crypt is shaping up to be the most terrifying scene on Days of Our Lives for the next two weeks.

Chad, Kristen, and Tony are still trapped in the crypt, trying to stay calm and find a way to escape before the mastermind loses patience.

In a moment of desperation, the group decides to… dig up the floor.

The idea sounds crazy, but it’s all they have: if they’re lucky, they’ll find an old tunnel leading out; if they’re unlucky, at least they’ll know what they’re buried with.

And in true Salem fashion, what they dig up isn’t just bricks and stones, but… human bones. Not just a few scattered pieces, but a whole skeleton that’s enough to make them freeze. DiMera were used to dark secrets, but digging up an unknown body in their own crypt was a whole new level of perversion. Chad immediately thought of people who had disappeared under mysterious circumstances; Kristen panicked, knowing her family had too many enemies, too many names that could have been “dealt with” this way.

The already suffocating atmosphere in the crypt became heavier, as if someone was strangling them. Every time they passed a skeleton, the group had to face the possibility: this could be a warning, or a message that “you will be like that too.” They began to debate what the kidnapper wanted: ransom, power, or simply a psychological game. The more they thought, the more they realized that nearly every branch of DiMera had been targeted—those still on the surface were living in a “counting the days” state.
