Salem is once again in turmoil as the latest Days of Our Lives promo reveals a series of dramatic episodes revolving around Chanel Dupree, Johnny DiMera and Paulina Price.

The short video, titled “Confessions Always Come Too Late,” makes viewers jump when Johnny admits he betrayed Chanel, while Paulina – Salem’s strongest mother – suddenly collapses from shock.

The promo opens with a peaceful scene at Sweet Bits.

Chanel is decorating a wedding cake for a customer when Johnny walks in, his face tense and his eyes full of guilt.

The atmosphere becomes tense when he says, “I have to tell you this… before anyone else does.” Chanel stops, looks at him, her smile disappears. That sentence – simple but heavy – sets the stage for a new series of tragedies.

In a fit of rage, Johnny confesses that during his breakup with Chanel, he had been seeing Wendy Shin – who used to be their best friend. The promo cuts to a series of silent scenes of Chanel, her eyes red, and the choking background music playing. “You said you loved me… and still love her at the same time?” – Chanel screams, throwing the wedding cake on the floor, the icing splashing everywhere, symbolizing the brokenness in her heart.
