Week 1–5/12 on Days of Our Lives opens with a jolt: EJ DiMera — who has always been in control of his emotions — is suddenly engulfed by a series of violent memories.

The scene opens with EJ holding a copy of Wuthering Heights, and as he reads a familiar passage, he suddenly freezes.

The camera pans to his eyes — distant, blurry, then dark. A woman’s voice rings out, vague but sharp, like an echo from a place EJ tried to bury for years.

Meanwhile, Sarah Horton suddenly drops a bombshell that explodes the atmosphere in the Horton household. She tells Maggie a secret that, according to the preview, is “enough to completely shatter the fragile peace of the Horton household.” Maggie is stunned, holding onto a chair to keep from falling. The camera zooms in on her red eyes — which have witnessed so much tragedy, but never quite as shaky as this one. While the exact content of Sarah’s confession is unknown, behind-the-scenes hints suggest it involves a family member — and could put an innocent person in danger.
