Salem is currently engulfed in a cloud of mystery: EJ DiMera – the cold, powerful man – suddenly became… moved by Cat Greene, and this is gradually destroying the close brotherly relationship between EJ and Chad DiMera.

The drama actually started from something seemingly harmless: an old book called Wuthering Heights.

According to spoilers, Cat Greene confessed that they had met in Italy, when EJ was in a semi-comatose state after an accident.

Cat was the only one who took care of him, reading passages to him when he couldn’t move.

It was Wuthering Heights that became the “invisible thread” that connected them – and that was something Chad never knew.

The book reappeared in Salem. When Cat and EJ accidentally saw it on the bookstore shelf, EJ’s eyes froze, Cat looked at him – a small smile on her lips. No words were spoken, but the whole audience felt: there was something deep, private between them, and no one else was allowed to touch it.

The first explosion happened when Chad accidentally caught Cat handing EJ a copy of Wuthering Heights. Cat whispered: “You should keep it.” EJ didn’t answer. Chad stood at a distance, his eyes completely collapsed. He turned away but was caught by Cat herself. That situation left all three trapped in a suffocating triangle: the one with the secret, the one betrayed, and the one who didn’t know who to choose.

According to spoilers from Daily Soap Dish, the biggest question will explode: Did EJ really betray Chad? Was he using his position at DiMera to get close to Cat? Or are the feelings really coming back?
