Salem is in a storm of emotions when Holly Jonas decides to leave town, closing a chapter of tears and misunderstandings.

The young girl carries the pain of love that has not yet healed and leaves in silence, shocking everyone who loves her.

Holly has packed her bags, trying to hide her red eyes as she says goodbye to her grandmother Maggie Kiriakis.

“I need to find myself,” Holly says in a choked voice, and Maggie can only hug her tightly, tears rolling down.

Even when Maggie tries to hold her, Holly is determined to leave — because her heart has just been torn apart by the truth about Tate Black.

Holly and Tate’s relationship was already shaky, but everything falls apart when Tate receives the news that Sophia Choi’s baby is not his. He falls into a crisis, feels cheated, and in his confusion, he doesn’t realize that Holly is deeply hurt. The scene is considered one of the most emotional of the week — you can even hear the tremor in Holly’s voice as she says, “If I stay, I’ll hate myself.” She pulls her hand away, turns away, leaving Tate in the middle of the airport with empty eyes. The plane takes off, the lights reflecting off his disappointed face.
