This week in Salem sees the painful return of JJ Deveraux, and things quickly spiral out of control.

After years of trying to live a decent life, JJ is pulled back into his dark past – the shooting that injured Theo Carver.

And when Theo returns, old scars start to bleed.

In the week’s premiere episode, JJ is seen participating in an investigation involving a shipment of illegal drugs.

But when a suspect flees, he points his gun – and the old images replay before his eyes: the sirens, the screams, and Theo’s terrified eyes in his memory. JJ flinches, allowing the suspect to escape. The incident earns him a warning from his superiors and a temporary suspension.

When Theo finds out, he confronts JJ in Salem Square. “You say you’ve changed, but you’re still the same person – the person who made it impossible for me to run like a normal person,” Theo said coldly. JJ was stunned, then suddenly went berserk – he threw his police badge to the ground, shouting: “I hate that person too!”

The scene shocked the fan community. Actor Casey Moss shared: “This is the moment JJ ​​completely broke down – not because of the criticism, but because he believed he didn’t deserve to be forgiven.”
