The scene in the crypt sends chills down the viewer’s spine – flickering lights, somber background music, Kristen standing there, hands still stained with blood, breathing heavily. When asked why she did it, she only says one chilling sentence: “He deserved it.” From then on, Days of Our Lives shifts to a dark, haunting atmosphere.

Peter is rushed to the hospital in critical condition, placed on a ventilator. The members of the DiMera family appear one by one, each carrying a secret. EJ DiMera – the head of the family – becomes the center of attention when the doctor asks him, “If Peter doesn’t make it, would you want to remove the life support?” The question paralyzes EJ.
