If the two lines above are as tense as a time bomb, the story of Leo Stark and Chad DiMera makes viewers choke up.

Leo – who is famous for his sarcastic jokes and carefree appearance – finally breaks down when the truth of the past is brought up.

The episode opens with Leo sitting alone in a bar, looking into a glass of whiskey and smirking.

Chad comes and sits opposite. “You can’t pretend to be okay forever, Leo,” Chad says.

Leo replies: “If I don’t pretend, I’ll drown.” – a line that makes viewers speechless.

The story gradually unfolds: Leo knew clearly that Philip and Gwen manipulated an illegal money transfer, but he kept quiet to protect his friend.
