But this week, even Marlena can’t keep her cool when facing EJ DiMera.

After Sarah’s near-death experience, Marlena immediately checks all the records related to her shift and discovers something horrifying: her test results were previously delayed, causing Marlena’s condition to worsen without anyone knowing.

Looking closely, Marlena realizes this happened after EJ changed the hospital’s policy.

And Marlena decides to go find EJ immediately.

The confrontation scene is considered the highlight of the week: Marlena stands before EJ, her eyes cold, her voice full of anger:

“You cut the budget, you fired the lab staff… and you let me, a patient, almost die because of your carelessness?”

EJ tries to keep his cool, trying to defend that he is only “restructuring” the hospital to operate more efficiently. But Marlena is not so easily convinced. She points a finger at EJ, continuing:
“Your ‘efficiency’ just caused Sarah to almost die. Do you see the consequences?”

Interestingly, EJ — who is usually cold and powerful — looks… really shaken for the first time. Because if Marlena goes public with this, the DiMera reputation will take the biggest blow ever.

On the hospital side, Marlena’s threat goes off like a bombshell in the boardroom. Kayla immediately sides with Marlena, while Belle begins to dig in about the budget cuts.
