The nightmare returns to Rachel Black – a young girl who has a memory buried for many years.

A memory that was thought to have disappeared, now revives and threatens the entire city of Salem.

Rachel begins to have fragmented dreams: gunshots ring out, silhouettes fall, and she – the panicked child – stands in a pool of blood.

When Marlena tries to help Rachel hypnotize to find out, the truth gradually emerges: Rachel was the one who witnessed the shooting that nearly killed EJ DiMera years ago.

The flashback scene gives viewers goosebumps: Rachel sits huddled in the corner, her hands shaking, her voice weak: “I heard someone say ‘it’s over’.” Marlena is silent, her eyes heavy. Now, that memory is not just a nightmare – but evidence that can make many people fall off their horse.

As Rachel slowly begins to remember, she begins to wonder: were her parents involved? And why has everyone been trying to make her forget all this time?
