Following a series of dramatic events, Salem is now an emotional battlefield.

Shawn is fighting for his life in Rolf’s lab, Belle is on the brink of hope and fear, EJ is obsessed with the power of regeneration, and Dimitri has disappeared after the shooting.

This small town has never been shrouded in such thick darkness.

Bonnie receives devastating news: Javi is found in the woods, severely wounded but still whispering, “It wasn’t him…it was someone else.”

That statement opens the possibility of a new, mysterious figure behind it all, possibly the least expected by fans – Kristen DiMera. Meanwhile, Rafe receives a DNA report from the lab showing that the bloodstains from the explosion don’t belong to any of the three, suggesting a fourth person was at the scene.

The weekend episode ends with Belle standing outside the lab, watching Shawn slowly regain consciousness, while EJ silently walks away in the darkness. “You saved the one I love, but you lost me forever,” Belle says. That line concludes a dramatic, tearful, and mysterious week.
