It all starts when Sarah discovers that the “Rachel’s Memory” file has been deleted from the court system.

She immediately knows that only EJ has the power to do so.

Sarah storms into EJ’s office, throws the file on the table, and says coldly, “How much evidence have you deleted, EJ?”

EJ sits calmly, swirling his whiskey glass: “You talk like I need to delete it.”
Sarah replies, “Because you’re afraid of the truth.”

The argument turns into a battle of wits. EJ speaks with power, and Sarah counters with moral arguments. As EJ approaches, whispering in her ear: “This world is not for nice people, Sarah,” she turns around, and replies bluntly: “But it won’t be for you anymore.”

The plot reaches its climax when Sarah secretly activates the recording on her phone. EJ discovers it, snatches it, and throws it to the ground. But Sarah just laughs: “You just confessed.” The statement makes EJ freeze, while the phone rings – it’s Belle calling, her voice trembling: “Sarah, Rachel’s gone.”
