In addition to the adoption story, Salem this week is also “stirred up” by the developments between Tate Black and Holly Jonas.

The two were once considered the “golden couple”, but when reality hit, they had to sit down and talk about things they had never dared to face.

Tate wants a real relationship – while Holly, amidst the pressure of work and family expectations, is afraid of being tied down.

Their conversation in the cafe is one of the most honest scenes in the show: no screaming, no tears – just two young people being honest.

Holly says: “I’m not sure I know how to love someone without losing myself.” Tate replies: “I just need you to be honest. Even if it’s ‘no’, I still want to hear it.”

At the end of the episode, they shake hands and come to an “agreement”: temporarily separating, but still maintaining their friendship. However, the way Tate looked at Holly as she left said the exact opposite.

Young love on Days Of Our Lives is never simple – and this episode proves that not all breakups are because of falling out of love, but sometimes it is because both parties grow up.
