The storm known as Cain Dingle is sweeping through Emmerdale.

The strongest, coldest man in the village suddenly becomes weak, shaking with unexplained pain.

The strange symptoms – dizziness, seizures, insomnia – make his wife, Moira, start to panic.

“You can’t just pretend nothing’s wrong anymore, Cain!” – Moira screams in the middle of the night, when she sees him sitting quietly panting by the window, sweat dripping down his forehead.

But Cain, like his nature, chooses to stay silent. He hides his medication in a drawer, secretly makes an appointment with a doctor in another town so no one knows. In the dim light of the hospital, Cain clutches the test results – his eyes are empty. Something is worse than he thought. The big question is: is Cain suffering from a serious illness that he doesn’t have the courage to talk about? Or is there another secret – one that makes him not only afraid of death, but afraid of being exposed?

Moira becomes increasingly suspicious. She begins to follow Cain, checks his calendar, opens his phone, finds an unfamiliar number saved with the letter “D.” One rainy evening, Moira follows Cain to an old industrial estate – where he meets someone in a car. When Moira approaches, Cain immediately revs up and drives away. From that moment, she knows: the disease is only part of the story. There is something Cain is afraid to face – and it could cost him his life and the Dingle family’s honor.

If the rumors are true, Cain will fall apart completely. A man who has overcome all enemies is now defeated by his own body. Emmerdale is about to witness Cain at his weakest, but also most real – and the price he will pay, may not be just his health.
