Emmerdale Spoiler: Celia – the woman behind the crime: Ray’s plot is pushed to the limit
If anyone thought Celia Daniels was just a gentle farmer, they were wrong.
This week, Emmerdale officially revealed that Celia is the “underground boss” behind Ray Walters, who lured April Windsor and Dylan Penders into the criminal ring.
For many weeks, Ray had forced the two children to work for him to “pay off their debts”.
But the audience now knows — the person controlling everything is Celia, Ray’s adoptive mother.
Celia appears in the daytime, still gentle, talking to Moira and Cain about renting farmland. But at night, she comes to Ray in the warehouse, her voice cold as ice: “You are behind schedule. If April doesn’t agree, deal with her.”
Ray is worried, wants to stop, but Celia doesn’t allow it. “In Emmerdale, whoever dares to betray me, disappears,” she says, her eyes scary.

In another scene, Dawn overhears a phone call between Celia and Ray. She freezes when she hears her daughter’s name, Clemmie. “Don’t let her open her mouth,” Celia commands. “She knows too much.”
The scene ends with Celia standing alone in the fields, the wind blowing her silver hair, the moonlight reflecting off her cold eyes. The viewer knows for sure — behind her gentle exterior lies a bottomless darkness. And Ray, no matter how fierce, is just a puppet in the hands of this Emmerdale “boss.”
