If the Kim – Lydia – Craig line is about guilt and conscience, then the Celia – Ray – Marlon line is a pure nightmare.

April – the girl who was a bright spot in many seasons of Emmerdale – was targeted by Celia as a perfect chess piece.

By flirting, seducing, taking advantage of a young girl’s insecurity and desire to be respected, Celia pulled April into her network, placing her in a position of both victim and tool. Dylan, April’s boyfriend, became the next target. To tie them both down, Celia and Ray’s henchmen did not hesitate to use violence to the point that the audience was choked.

The biggest shock was when Celia video-called Marlon and Rhona, letting them directly witness Ray driving his car into Dylan as a cold-blooded act. The car did not simply cause an accident, but Dylan was also injected with drugs to make his condition more critical. An injection, a collision, and from there, the Marlon family fell straight into a bottomless abyss. Dylan was between life and death, while April was caught between guilt, fear, and obsession for unconsciously dragging her lover into a deadly game.
