One of the biggest twists to come: Faith Dingle – who was once thought to have died – suddenly “returns”.

According to a leak from The Sun, actress Sally Dexter has been called back to the set in a series of flashbacks – but some insiders claim that this appearance is more than just the past.

The first scene will be Cain Dingle entering the abandoned house, turning on the lights and seeing Faith sitting there, smiling and saying: “You can’t escape from me.”

It’s unclear whether it’s real or an illusion, but the moment is “heart-stopping”.

Faith could return as Cain’s conscience after a series of recent mistakes – or she could actually survive and return to expose some conspiracy of Ray’s. If this theory is correct, Emmerdale is preparing for a classic “resurrection”, connecting the entire Dingle – Bear – Ray line into a single network.

Faith’s appearance also brings back memories of Robert Sugden – who has been mentioned again in the last few episodes. Maybe Robert will return, face Faith, opening a new chapter for the Dingle family. An old bang but never out of the heat!
