While Celia plans for the long term, Ray Walters – the scheming accomplice – begins to realize that he is just a pawn in Celia’s game.

The partnership between the two gradually turns into a battle for survival.

Ray is the one who directly causes the threats, but Celia is the one who gives the orders.

When he tries to turn around to control the line for himself, Celia immediately responds: “If I fall, your daughter falls too.”

That sentence is a sign of a nightmare. Celia has people arrest Lainey – Ray’s daughter – as a “moral hostage”, forcing Ray to return to work for her. He tries to resist, but then a small explosion in the warehouse leaves him seriously injured, bleeding profusely. That scene – according to Metro’s spoilers – is the turning point when “next victim confirmed” and “character seriously injured”. Ray is the first to pay the price for betraying Celia.

While Ray is in hospital, Celia pretends to be a good person, sending flowers, crying, and showing remorse. But when the nurse leaves, Celia whispers at the bedside: “I told you, you can’t beat me.” It’s that detail that makes the audience shiver – a villain with nothing left to lose.

Outside, the villagers begin to suspect: why is Ray – who has a lot of money and power – being assaulted in the area he controls? Moira hears the news and decides to investigate. Meanwhile, April continues to be threatened, and Bear Wolf – a seemingly unrelated character – is gradually entering the center of the story when he discovers that Celia has a hidden connection to the recent cases of missing workers.

At the end of the episode, the camera pans to Celia’s eyes looking out the hospital window, a smile on her lips: “Who else dares to betray me?” Just one sentence is enough to make Emmerdale sink into a suffocating atmosphere.
