His car crashed hard in the middle of the rainy night, the car spun, smoke rose, the lights went out. When Joe woke up, the first person he saw was Caleb – a half-smile, cold as steel.

From here, Emmerdale fell into chaos. The villagers gossiped: “Is Joe dead?”, “Who was behind the collision?”, “Why was Caleb at the scene?”. Some say it was murder, others say it was karma.

While Joe was in hospital, a mysterious woman appeared – all one could see was a red coat and sad eyes. She whispered something in Joe’s ear, then disappeared. This scene made fans’ hair stand on end. Was she an accomplice, or someone who came to warn him?

The climax was when Caleb sent Joe a video recording of the accident, with the words: “Everything is in my hands.” Joe trembled, and viewers couldn’t breathe. Emmerdale was now like a chessboard of death, where Joe was just a piece pushed to the edge.

This episode was both thrilling and tragic. Joe – who once confidently controlled the world – was now suffocated by his own past. And perhaps, the price he had to pay was greater than his life.
