The atmosphere in Emmerdale in recent episodes has been heavy like a choking fog, because of the terrifying turn surrounding Kev Townsend.

It was thought that Kev would disappear after a series of troubles, but what happened before made the whole village not believe that he would really disappear.

The fateful night began when Kev sneaked into the apartment where two famous characters Robert Sugden and Aaron Dingle were living.

It was not an empty threat or a normal argument, Kev walked in with a samurai sword in his hand – cold steel, fierce eyes and a crazy attitude.

As soon as Robert saw the tip of the sword, he had not yet reacted when Kev approached, capturing Robert, Aaron and Liam Cavanagh. The three were locked in their safest place, forced to listen to Kev’s hateful and vicious words. Kev’s nerves were clearly broken, and Robert became the first target. In a moment of chaos, the blade grazed, blood gushed from the wound. If it had been a few inches deeper, Robert might not have returned to Emmerdale.

The police appeared, lights flashing, footsteps and screams overlapped. But the most tense moment was when Kev calmly… let all three people go and disappeared. When the door closed behind him, Robert and Aaron seemed to have escaped death. But then Kev’s last words really cast a shadow: “I always find a way to get revenge.” It was not loud, not harsh, but cold as ice – and that is why fans believed the story was not over.
