Moira Dingle – the strongest woman in the village – finally breaks down when Cain leaves without saying goodbye.

From a seemingly stable home, Moira falls into crisis: her husband is missing, rumors are everywhere, and the fear that Cain may never return.

The scene where Moira sits in front of the fireplace, looking at a picture of Cain, is one of the most touching moments.

She holds a cup of cold tea, whispering: “You always choose violence over me.”

Outside, the wind blows strongly, as if reflecting the mood of the woman who is gradually collapsing.

When the rumor that Cain killed John begins to spread, Moira is shunned by the villagers. She is no longer the woman in charge of the farm, but “the wife of the murderer”. One by one, people turn their backs on her, making her even more isolated. In desperation, Moira decides to find Cain herself – and from there, she discovers clues that will give the audience goosebumps.

In an abandoned cabin, Moira finds Cain’s blood-stained jacket. She bursts into tears, but then her eyes change: no longer the weak wife, but the mother ready to face everything. The final scene of that episode: Moira stands in the rain, her voice trembling but determined – “If you killed someone, I will be the first to tell the whole village.”

Moira is preparing a decision that will make the battle between her and Cain no longer a family affair – but a confrontation between love and conscience.
