Paddy Kirk, Bear’s son, refuses to believe his father is dead. After sleepless nights, he follows receipts and old camera footage and finds clues leading to an abandoned warehouse.

When Paddy opens the rusty door, a musty smell fills the air, and the first thing he sees is his father’s familiar hat.

In the dim light, Paddy spots a haggard man lying on the floor – it’s Bear Wolf.

The scene is brilliantly choreographed: Paddy runs to hug his father, shouting “Daddy, it’s me!”, while Bear mumbles “Don’t… don’t let them see me here.”

They both cry in the dark, the rain falling heavily outside.

When Paddy brings his father home, everyone in Emmerdale is shocked. Characters like Marlon, Rhona, and Mandy gather in the Woolpack, silent at the news. Marlon says: “We thought we knew everything about this village, but there’s darkness in our own home.”

The episode ends with Paddy sitting in front of the hospital, looking through the window where Bear is sleeping. He vows to find out who’s behind this. The streetlights illuminate Paddy’s face, his eyes no longer the gentle vet – but the son who’s about to get revenge.
