Emmerdale Spoiler: Robert follows the trail – the Sugden brothers’ confrontation turns into tragedy
While Aaron is desperately searching, John unexpectedly meets Robert Sugden in the middle of the forest.
Robert has followed the clues from Eric Pollard, an old acquaintance of John’s mother.
The seemingly touching meeting between the brothers turns into a fierce confrontation.
Instead of listening, John knocks Robert out with a punch, leaving him unconscious on the ground.
With little time left, John receives a signal from a hidden camera near the cellar, knowing that Aaron is approaching where Mackenzie is locked. He quickly leaves, leaving Robert in critical condition.
Meanwhile, Aaron gropes for the cellar door, trying to hear Mack’s cries for help but to no avail. The more desperate he becomes, the deeper he is drawn into the forest. Finally, Aaron stops right at the edge of the cliff, where death is just a step away. And there, John appears.
A tense conversation begins. Aaron knows that this is not the time to be shocked or scared. He tries to manipulate John, pretending to sympathize, playing on his desire to be “understood”. Thanks to that, John confesses to many gruesome crimes: from killing Nate to drugging Chas, and especially locking Mackenzie in a secret basement near the house.
The audience thinks Aaron has succeeded, when John begins to agree to call the police. But the tragedy is just beginning, because the unexpected appearance of Robert will change everything.
