While the villagers are still reeling from Carl’s death, another wave of turmoil is brewing as Ruby Fox-Miligan decides to reveal the secret she’s kept hidden for more than twenty years.

Ruby has been acting strangely since the beginning of the week: insomnia, binge drinking and panic attacks.

Her close friend Chas Dingle begins to suspect something.

Emmerdale Soap Scoop! Ruby decides to confess

On Christmas Eve, Ruby arrives at Chas’s house drunk, in tears.

“I can’t live this lie anymore,” she says, her voice choking.

Under the yellow lights, Ruby reveals the truth: she believes her father – Anthony Fox – abused her when she was 16. The memory had been buried deep in her mind, only recently resurfacing. “I still hear him… in my dreams,” Ruby says, leaving Chas stunned.

Chas hugged Ruby, trying to reassure her, but fear was also rising inside her. She knew that if Ruby told the truth, it could destroy the Fox-Miligan family. But Ruby was no longer afraid. “I’ve kept quiet long enough. If I don’t tell you, I’ll go crazy,” she said, her eyes blazing.

As the clock struck midnight, snow began to fall. Ruby stepped outside, looked up at the sky, and vowed to go public the next morning. But in the distance, a figure followed her in the dark—was it Anthony, or someone he hired to stop her?

The audience shuddered as the black car quietly started up, following Ruby on the snow-covered road. This Christmas was no longer a miracle, but the beginning of an impending tragedy.
