The scene opens with her exhausted, leaning against the wall, then suddenly collapsing in the middle of the rainy night.

The cause remains a mystery – possibly due to prolonged psychological pressure, or the consequences of continuous stress in her marriage with Cain.

Cain returns just in time to find his wife lying unconscious.

He rushes over, picks her up and screams for help – a rare scene showing that the stubborn man is also afraid. When the ambulance arrives, Cain almost collapses, constantly repeating: “Don’t go, Moira, don’t leave me.”

The news of Moira being hospitalized shocks the whole of Emmerdale. Aaron, Robert and the Dingle family all rush to the hospital, and Cain is haunted by the thought that he is the reason why Moira is sick.
