After the infamous kiss, Emmerdale continues to blow up social media by revealing the real “broken” twist: Robert Sugden is living a double life.

It turns out that Kev Townsend is not only Robert’s ex-lover, but also his… secret husband!

According to spoilers from Digital Spy, Robert was married to Kev many years ago, during a dark period in his life – and never officially divorced.

So, while he lived with Aaron in Emmerdale, he still visited Kev as his “unbroken ex-husband”.

When the truth gradually came to light, the audience was stunned. Aaron – who once believed in Robert’s love – now became the “third person” in an unfinished marriage. “You’ve been lying to me all this time,” Aaron choked. Robert tried to explain that the marriage with Kev was just a formality, that “it was no longer love”. But when Aaron asks, “Then why are you still seeing him?”, Robert is silent.

In what is arguably the most shocking scene of the week: Aaron suddenly opens Robert’s phone, sees a series of messages from Kev – “I miss you”, “Don’t let anyone know”, “Are you still mine?” – and Aaron’s heart breaks. He throws the phone on the floor, screaming: “You betrayed me with every word you said!”

Robert then goes to the pub, gets drunk, puts his head down on the table, and mumbles: “I just want things to be simple.” But in Emmerdale, nothing is simple. Rumours of “Robert having a secret husband” spread throughout the village. People gossip, friends shun him, and Aaron… disappears for two days. Some fans say he left the village to avoid facing the truth.

The drama doesn’t stop there – because Kev is about to return. And when he confronts Aaron, an emotional battle breaks out between two men who love the same person: Robert Sugden.
